STRACON Signs Cooperation Agreement with the Faculty of Mines at the National University of Colombia

Medellín, Colombia, January 25, 2024 – STRACON is pleased to announce the signing of a Cooperation Agreement with the Faculty of Mines at the National University of Colombia (UNAL), Medellín campus. This agreement marks a significant milestone in our collaboration with one of the country’s most prestigious academic institutions, reaffirming our commitment to the development and education of future professionals in the mining sector.

As part of this alliance, members of the STRACON Colombia team will have the opportunity to participate in the Lectureship Program, contributing their expertise and knowledge to one of the courses scheduled for the first semester of 2024. This joint effort will not only strengthen the ties between industry and academia but also provide students with valuable practical insights into the professional world and the demands of the mining sector.

Commitment to Education and Professional Development

Since our beginnings in Colombia, STRACON has collaborated with UNAL students on various projects, recognizing their talent and potential. This agreement is a natural extension of our relationship with the university and a reflection of our commitment to the growth and development of future professionals in mining.

We are deeply grateful to the Dean of the Faculty of Mines, Verónica Botero, and Professor Oscar Jaime Restrepo for their support and leadership in bringing this partnership to fruition. Together, we are laying the foundation for a more promising future in the industry, where education and high-level training play a crucial role.

At STRACON, we firmly believe in the importance of education as a driver of development and in the need to strengthen the ties between industry and academia. This agreement is an important step in continuing to nurture young talent and ensuring that future professionals have the necessary tools to face the challenges of the sector.

This agreement with the National University of Colombia underscores our dedication to educational excellence and the sustainable development of the mining industry in the region.
