STRACON participated in the first large-scale mine closure in Peru
One year ago, STRACON reached a significant milestone in its trajectory with its participation in the Pierina mine closure, the first large-scale mine closure carried out in Peru.
The project represented a high-level technical, environmental, and social challenge, requiring comprehensive planning, specialized engineering, and rigorous execution throughout its development. It also generated a positive impact on the surrounding environment, strengthening the capabilities of local suppliers and promoting coordinated work with the community.
Mine closure represents a fundamental stage in the mining life cycle and demonstrates how the industry can responsibly manage the transition of a project toward its final stage.
