STRACON Launches Training Program for Young Talent in Ilo

Aligned with our commitment to developing local talent and supporting communities near our projects, STRACON, in partnership with Anglo American, has launched the Productivity and Construction Processes Training Program for Mining. This initiative is aimed at students from the Luis E. Valcárcel Public Technological Higher Education Institute (IESTP) in Ilo, preparing them for roles as Productivity/Production Assistants in the mining sector.

The program equips participants with essential tools to excel in the industry, offering training in key areas such as construction management, productivity control, and safety culture in mining. This initiative reflects our mission to promote more efficient, safer, and responsible mining practices.

The first edition of the program is already underway, with a second edition set to begin soon, training a total of 40 students. These young professionals will have the opportunity to qualify for positions on STRACON’s team at the Quellaveco project.

Through initiatives like this, we continue to invest in the future of communities and champion a more responsible mining industry committed to sustainable development and the well-being of the regions where we operate.
