STRACON and Pan American Silver Improve Educational Infrastructure in Cajabamba

As part of our commitment to the communities surrounding the projects where we operate, STRACON is proud to announce the successful completion of the renovation of the psychomotor skills classroom at Educational Institution No. 1037, located in Pampachancas, Cajabamba. This project was carried out in collaboration with our client Pan American Silver, specifically for their Shahuindo Mining Unit, and is part of a broader Social Responsibility plan.

The renovation, which began in August, included both internal and external plastering, the installation of ceramic tiles on the floor, and an upgrade of the electrical wiring, all aimed at improving the learning environment for the community’s youngest students. This effort not only enhanced the educational infrastructure but also included a training component for the local community, making it especially meaningful.

A standout aspect of this project was the training program provided to 20 parents of students at the educational institution. Under the guidance of a specialized instructor, these parents actively participated in the installation of the ceramic tiles, acquiring technical skills that were not only applied in the classroom renovation but also offer them future employment and development opportunities.

This initiative underscores our commitment to community empowerment and the creation of opportunities through education and technical training. At STRACON, we firmly believe that supporting local communities is key to building a more inclusive and sustainable future.
